Mr. Mikaele Wara has held the position of Director of Audit since 23rd January 2001. He has completed 20 units towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and Public Administration and Industrial Relation at the University of the South Pacific.

Mikaele has served in OAG for 36 years in various positions from Assistant Examiner of Accounts to Audit Manager. He is also a member of the Fiji Military Forces – Territorial Force Unit and has served 2 Tours of Duty to Lebanon in 1982 and 1986 under the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission.
